Understanding benefits

The benefits system has been put into place to provide practical help and financial support if you are unemployed and looking for work. It can also offer you additional income when your earnings are low, if you are bringing up children, care for someone, are ill or have a disability and even if you are a parent in education, look at study options for young parents.

It is very important that you understand what benefits you are entitled to and get what you are entitled to!

Do I qualify for benefits?

You may be entitled to receive benefits if you are on a low income or have certain costs to meet because of your personal situation.
